Warlust / Pestis - The Final War / Plagueridden
WARLUST's previous album "Trench Warfare" was sold out long ago (during the Summer of 2004)... This rare (also sold out long ago) recording "The Final War" (from 1999) consists of devastating War Hymns with killer vocals and top-notch guitar attack; featuring members of SABBATICAL GOAT!
The Netherlands' PESTIS (not to be confused with 2 other bands from Germany and Brazil) debut with "Plagueridden", a demo track. PESTIS still consists of WARLUST / B.O.T. Wodensthrone – Loss
"Loss" is a completely stunning display of epic, world building Pagan black metal, burning with the fires of England's ancient culture and antiquity. Brilliantly captured in Romania by Negura Music, the recording sessions reveal an otherworldly tone and rich atmosphere that hasn't been this majestically sculpted since the formative years of Emperor. "Loss" is a total escape from the modern complexities and uninspired cookie-cutter "product" turned out by the current black metal scene, to embrace the true power of a time that was alive with conviction and musical exploration. Traditional/folk instrumentation, soaring guitar/synth harmonies, and tortured vocals ride upon the dense aura so brilliantly created by Wodensthrone.

Wolfmangler - They Call Us Naughty Wolves
With the spirit of past Wolfmangler releases where covers of folk songs, classical music pieces and jazz standards are the main lifeblood, this latest work entitled "They Call Us Naughty Wolves" is the bands unique take on pop music from yesteryear. The results are very much reminiscent of a blackened burlesque chamber ensemble funneled through a broken radio in a post-apocalyptic wasteland picking up distorted pieces of hits from the 1930s.

Wormsblood - Mastery of Creation
Known for his work in the popular proto doom act Jex Thoth and from his own power electronics outfit Burial Hex, Clay Ruby ventures in a different direction this time. An album of outsider metal, it's sparse and bleak, but rumblings, clanging and tortured cries erupt violently throughout. A very unhinged and dangerous album. Comparisons could be drawn to Armanenschaft, Blood of the Black Owl & the True Werwolf, both musically, as well as in the sense those bands also use black metal as a foundation to explore darker, more experimental avenues.
